The essentials and precautions for the use of digital oscilloscopes
(1) Signal access method. Take the CH1 channel as an example to introduce the signal access method.
① Set the switch on the probe to 10x, align the slot on the probe connector with the CH1 socket and insert it, and then turn it to the right to tighten it.
② Set the attenuation coefficient of the oscilloscope probe. The probe attenuation coefficient changes the vertical gear ratio of the instrument, which directly relates to the correctness of the measurement result. The default probe attenuation coefficient is 1 x. When setting, the setting value of the yellow switch on the probe must be consistent with the attenuation coefficient of the input channel “Probe” menu. The attenuation coefficient setting method is: press the CH1 key to display the function menu of channel 1, the function menu operation key No. 3 parallel to the probe item, turn the D knob, select the attenuation coefficient of the same proportion as the probe, and press it. Knob to confirm. At this time, it should be selected and set to 10x.
③ Connect the probe tip and ground clamp to the calibration signal output terminal of the function signal generator or oscilloscope. Press the AUTO (automatic setting) key. After a few seconds, you can see the waveform of the input function signal or the oscilloscope calibration signal in the waveform display area. After checking in the same way, connect the signal to the CH2 channel.
(2) In order to speed up the adjustment and facilitate the measurement, when the measured signal is connected to the channel, you can directly press the AUTO key to immediately obtain the appropriate waveform display and gear setting.
(3) All operations of the oscilloscope are only valid for the currently selected (open) channel. The channel selection (open) method is: press the CH1 or CH2 button to select (open) the corresponding channel, and the channel mark in the status bar turns into a black background. The way to close the channel is: press the OFF key or press the channel button again to close the currently selected channel.
(4) The operation method of digital oscilloscope is divided into three levels.,
The first level: Press the function keys on the front panel to enter different function menus or directly obtain specific function applications.
The second level: Through the 5 function menu operation keys, select the corresponding function item on the right side of the screen or open the submenu or turn the multifunction knob e to adjust the item parameters.
The third level: Turn the multi-function knob. , Select an item in the drop-down menu and press. To confirm the selected item.
(5) When using, you should be familiar with and confirm the changes and status of the oscilloscope settings by observing the upper, lower, and left status bars.
